Deerpath Dairy Goats

This year I bought a new buck and have bred just about every doe to him.  With his excellent bloodlines I am expecting to get some really exceptional kids.  On most of the does I have who I am planning on breeding them to in the fall and if I will be having any kids for sale out of them.

Dam: GCH Goldthwaite Lady Juliette   7*M

                Dam's Dam: Goldthwaite Godiva   6*M

Tie One Up is a really nice five year old doe that has a great udder.  She has already earned her dry leg and one milking leg.  I will be showing her a lot again in 2007.  She was shown a lot as a kid winning two GCH, once RGCH, and many more first place win.  In 2005 she kidded with twin doe kids, both of which look very nice and look to have promising futures themselves.  In 2006 she had triplets one buck and toe does.  I only have the one doe kid left and she was only shown once this year.  I will also be showing her a lot since she is one of my best does.  Her udder has very nice separation between the two halves, excellently placed and shaped teats.  Her udder is also very well attached and she has been giving just over a gallon of milk each day for me.   The picture to the far right is of Tie as a dry yearling in 2004.  The picture on the left is of her at Marshfield where she was champion and Best of Breed.  The middle is of her after she was Reserve champion in the youth show at state fair.  I will be keeping all doe kids from her and possibly one buck kid.  That buck kid will be available to be bred to outside does.

                    Dam's Sire: Del-Mirage Aristocrat

        Dam: Nature-Trail Breanza

                    Dam's Dam: Nature-Trail Breana

Demeter is also a five year old doe.  She was shown at the nationals as a dry yearling.  She has already got her dry leg and will be shown more towards the end of the show season this year.  She is a fairly large doe and has excellent confirmation.  She also milks fairly heavy giving me well over a gallon of milk each day.    I have several daughters currently in my herd.  Two of them won best in show awards in 2006 as dry stock.  She is by far my top producing doe in terms of offspring.

Dam's Sire: Hawkwind's Valley of Lightning

        Dam: MCD's Classy Lady

Dam's Dam: Hawkwind's Touch of Class

Spirit is also a five year old.  I will be showing her at most of the shows this year.  She is a very nice looking goat.  She has a nice well attached udder and is giving me around a gallon of milk a day.  She has a very nice top line and excellent feet and legs.  She gave me triplets this year as a first freshener and had two bucks and one doe kid.  As a second freshener again triplets but all boys, what a disappointment.  I kept one of the buck kids and sold one other to a breeding home.  For 2007 she will be bred to Royal Silver and both buck and doe kids are available.  I am keeping the first doe kid from her.

O'Goodness is a permanent SGCH.  She is still milking about a gallon and a half or more a day yet.  When she was younger she was giving 8 pounds of milk a milking.  Her udder is still tightly attached and doesn't show signs of age.  Her strong point is general appearance.  She is starting to go down on her pasterns but for a six year old doe, that is a very big girl, she still has very good legs.  For 2006 she has been bred to Royal Silver  The pictures of O'Goodness are from when she was younger.  She was my bar far my my best doe but unfortunately due to a difficult delivery in 06 we lost her.  She was by far my favorite doe and I miss her dearly but her daughter Very Good is looking more like her every day.  I did manage to save one buck from her 06 kidding and he is in my herd.

Sire's Sire: SGCH Will-O'-The Wisp Red Rock  +B

        Dam: Milanka-Farms Dandy-Sapphire

                    Dam's Dam: Woest-Hoeve Oreo  1*M

Quick Silver was projected  as a first freshening two year old to go over 3000 pounds.  She has very good milk lines and is a large doe.  She has already earned her milk star.  I will be keeping all doe kids out of her this year and one buck kid.  Buck kids out of her will produce some high milk production show quality kids.  In 2005 she freshened with triplet doe kids and needed no assistance in the birthing process.  I will be showing several of those doe kids through out the year.  They are growing very fast and are getting very big.

Little Bit she has very excellent bloodlines is put together nicely.  She has earned her milk star and has won a dry leg before I owned her.  She will also be shown a lot this upcoming show season and I am expecting her to do fairly well.  I will also be keeping any doe kids out of her.  She should be producing some high quality show bucks that will produce many winning kids.  She handles very easy and is a very sweet doe.   In 2005 she had triplet buck kids with no trouble.  In 2006 she had twin kids and both did well in the show ring.

Shortly after I got Rainbow in the fall she freshened with twins much to my surprise.  Because of that she won't be kidding in spring and in most likely hood won't be shown either.  I am looking forward to getting more kids from her in the future and I did get a very nice spotted doe kid from her surprise kidding that I will be showing in the junior yearling class in 2006.

Andi is another doe that i picked up this fall she was already breed and is due in February.  She will be at the shows with me this year and I expect her to do well in the show ring.  She is a very large brown doe with some lighter spots.

Taffy my first Nubian that has finished out her championship (before I got her).  At seven years of age she is still going strong and it looks like she will keep going on for awhile yet.  She still looks like she is five years old  She is a decent milker but does not have her star and won't be getting one since she lost half her udder last year.  If she had been on test when she was younger I am sure that she would have got her star.  In 2003 she was the best of breed for Nubians at our county fair.  I unfortunately lost Taffy from old age this summer too.
